kruger national park tours, walking safari with Acacia Africa

Day 1 Mpumalanga Province, Kruger National Park, Private Reserve
From Johannesburg we travel east into Mpumalanga and greater Kruger, stopping to view some of the sights along the ‘panoramic route’ namely, Blyde River Canyon and Three Rondavels.
After lunch we enter the Greater Kruger Park region and arrive at our rustic bush camp on the Balule Reserve. We have dinner and spend time relaxing under the stars around our warm campfire.

Day 2 Mornings in Kruger Private Reserve – Balule
Over the next two days we explore the Balule Private Game Reserve which nestles in close proximity to Kruger National Park. The morning walks, after a light breakfast, take place from early in the morning to mid morning. We cover between 4km and 7km through wild bushveld terrain, discovering and exploring the smaller yet interesting components of the ecology although big game such as elephant, buffalo and lion are regularly encountered on foot. On returning from the walk brunch is prepared and served.

Day 3 Afternoons Kruger Private Reserve – Balule
During the midday heat we retire to the shade of our camp enjoying the tranquil surroundings and crystal cool swimming pool, revitalizing ourselves for an adventurous afternoon game drive, in our open safari vehicle, searching for wildlife in its natural habitat, not like a ‘wildlife park’ or zoo! We enjoy dinner on both evenings and relax while sharing stories around the camp fire before retiring to bed.

Day 4 Kruger National Park, Johannesburg
After enjoying a final shorter morning walk followed by a light breakfast, we join our transfer feeling relaxed and rejuvenated for the scenic drive through Mpumalanga back to Johannesburg arriving during the late afternoon, where our tour comes to an end.
