Our Bad Hair Challenge supporters have come in from far and wide and that’s good news for rhinos. Europe, the US, Africa and Asia are on the list and we’re hoping more people will join us in the war on poaching. Wildlife crime is the 4th largest illegal activity in the world after drug trafficking, counterfeiting & human trafficking and we’ve just heard the sad stats from South Africa. Out of 969 rhino killed in the country this year, 637 met their untimely death in the Kruger.
Here’s what you need to do if you want to step up for rhinos:
1. Upload your bad hair day selfie to Facebook or Twitter
2. Add the #SaveInongwe hashtag
3. Nominate or donate to favourite rhino charity
Our Inongwe truck – our 24 seater named after our rhino mascot – is also pictured above, and there’s still time to get rhino’d in 2014! Book a seat on the 22-day Zanzibar, Victoria Falls & Kruger departing 25 November or the 7-day African Insight (northbound) departing 04 December as we’ll have a Bad Hair Bash on both tours in Livingstone. This is your chance to win a rhino walking safari in Mosi-Oa-Tunya, and you might even meet Inongwe in the Zambian park.
