If you are a travelling to or from countries that require a Yellow Fever Certificate, you must ensure that you get vaccinated against Yellow Fever before leaving on your adventure. This is required by international health regulations that entails travel to or through the so-called “Yellow Fever Belt”. Yellow Fever Certificates are valid for a period of 10 years commencing 10 days after the date of vaccination.
Countries that require a Yellow Fever Certificate on our African routes:
Tanzania (including Zanzibar)
Rwanda (A visit to Rwanda is only if Gorilla permits for Uganda are unavailable)
Although a Yellow Fever Certificate is required for the selected countries and proof must be shown at the port of entry to each country, other countries may ask if you are holding a Yellow Fever Certificate. Please note that this is only if you have previously travelled from an infected area of the “Yellow Fever Belt’ – African and South American countries.
Please consult your travel doctor for all information regarding Yellow Fever and the requirements to obtain a certificate.
