Madiba was a peace icon who united a once a divided nation, the celebrated man emerging from prison as a philosopher and a born leader. \u00a0His values live on at the Nelson Mandela museum in Qunu. One of the key landmarks visited on our <a title=\"Coast to Cape Town - CTC8\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acacia-africa.com\/acacia_small_groups\/coast_to_cape_town_2014.php\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>8-day Coast To Cape Town<\/strong><\/a> small group safari, this enduring memorial to Mandela\u2019s life is undoubtedly a place of pilgrimage for those he inspired. \u00a0The museum is listed on the recently launched map of Madiba inspired attractions, our small group safari covering the eastern and western cape. More of an experience as opposed to a building full of memorabilia, the museum offers visitors the opportunity to walk in Madiba\u2019s footsteps, from his early days and rural beginnings to his historic emergence as South Africa\u2019s president and beyond.<\/p>\n<div>The safari also passes through Umtata, Mandela\u2019s birthplace. The surrounding region is \u00a0home to his tribe and a village visit to meet the Xhosa people is available on the small group itinerary. Cape Town is the trip\u2019s final destination.
