Stone Town, Zanzibar, Tanzania

Stone Town is the oldest area of Zanzibar City, the capital of Zanzibar and has been included as one of UNESCO's world heritage sites . It is a city of prominent historical importance in East Africa. Its architecture, mostly dating back to the 19th century and made up of a maze of narrow alleys to houses, shops, bazaars and mosques all reflecting the diverse influences of the Swahili Culture, with a unique mix of Arab, Persian, Indian and European elements.
