Day 1. Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Highlights. Blyde River Canyon, South Africa. Accommodation. Nsele Lodge.

Leaving from Johannesburg, the city of gold, early this morning and once we have left the urban areas behind our journey takes us through the scenic Mpumulanga Province. We travel via the Blyde River Canyon and its distinctive Three Rondavels to our first night stop a short distance away from the world famous Kruger National Park at Hoedspruit.

Day 2. Kruger National Park Highlights. Kruger National Park, South Africa. Accommodation. Nsele Lodge.

To make the most of the day we have in this world famous park, our specialised guide meets us in the open 4x4 game drive vehicles before dawn in order to enter the park when the gates open.

The park, founded in 1898 is truly South Africa's flagship park and we will be lucky enough to see some of the many species of flora and fauna in our days drive.

Day 3. Hoedspruit to Polokwane Highlights. Polokwane Game Reserve, South Africa. Accommodation. Boma In The Bush.

From the province of Mpumulanga and onto the province of Limpopo which gets its name from the river that forms the northern border of South Africa.

Travelling through the rolling hills we reach Polokwane and this afternoon we take an afternoon game walk in this beautiful Nature Reserve

Day 4. Polokwane to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe Accommodation. Travellers Guest House, Bulawayo.

Crossing the Limpopo River this morning at the Beitbridge border post we enter Zimbabwe.

With a fair distance to cover today we push on through the scenic countryside to Bulawayo and our comfortable hotel.

To allow for the number of highlights & experiences included in this tour, some long distances need to be travelled. In order for this to not affect every day on tour, we have allocated this as a driving day in which we cover quite a lot of ground and have minimal stops.

Day 5. Matobo National Park Highlights. Matobo National Park, Zimbabwe. Accommodation. Travellers Guest House, Bulawayo.

Transferring into open 4x4 game drive this morning with our specialised guide we venture into the Matobo National Park with its distinctive wind rounded rock formations.

There will also be the opportunity, conditions permitting, to take a walking safari in this intriguing park.

Optionally it will be possible to extend the drive to a full day including a historical and village tour.

Day 6. Bulawayo to Victoria Falls Highlights. Zambezi sunset cruise - Zimbabwe. Accommodation. Cresta Sprayview Hotel.

Journeying north we reach the town of Victoria Falls.

Settling into our comfortable hotel and this afternoon we visit the falls themselves getting a multitude of different views of the water plunging over 100 metres into the gorge below.

This evening we take a peaceful sunset cruise on the upper stretches of the Zambezi river spotting game in and around this mighty river.

Day 7. Victoria Falls Highlights. Victoria Falls National Park.

Arrangements end after breakfast but it would be a shame to come to this amazing area and not take part in some of the many different activities that are on offer. Our team on the ground will be able to assist in arranging a variety of different activities.
