Day 1. Moshi

Today is a joining day in Moshi so we can arrive at any time and check into the hotel.

Day 2. Moshi to Karatu Highlights. Lake Manyara National Park.

This morning we meet our expert guide who will be with us for the next few days and leave Moshi and head on through Arusha out towards the national parks. First stop is Lake Manyara and we have the afternoon game driving in this pretty park at the foot of the escarpment on the edge of the Great Rift Valley.

We overnight in the small village of Karatu.

Day 3. Karatu to Serengeti National Park Highlights. Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania.

From Karatu we head onwards and upwards into the highlands and the conservation area stopping en route at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing on to Olduvai Gorge where we learn a little about the significant remains of early man that were found here.

This afternoon we enter the Serengeti National Park and game drive to our tented camp deep in the park.

Day 4. Serengeti National Park Highlights. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.

We enjoy a full day game driving in the park today in search of some of the amazing animals that reside in the park. Depending on the time of year and area of the park we are driving in, we may encounter the large herds of grazing animals on their annual migration through the serengeti plains.

Day 5. Serengeti National Park to Ngrorongoro Crater Highlights. Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania.

We leave our tented camp this morning and game drive out of the park towards the Ngorongoro Crater. After a lunch on the crater rim, we descend to the floor and game drive in the extinct volcano home to all the major african animals with the exception of giraffe.

After an enjoyable afternoon we ascend the crater walls and continue on to our accommodation in the village of Karatu.

Day 6. Karatu to Moshi

After breakfast we have our final journey of our safari across the great rift valley, through the town of Arusha to Moshi where our safari comes to an end.
