Hi all,

I’ve taken over the blogging mantel from my friends Lauren and Tj so i’d thought I’d write a small introduction before Rob and I start our trip on Sunday!

My name is Sam, I’m a 25 year old Brit who came to Africa on holiday in July last year…..well as you can see I am still here and working for the company that I traveled with! My initial trip was Livingstone-Nairobi; 21 days in East Africa exploring natural wonders of the world such as the mighty Victoria Falls, chilling out on the beautiful sandy beaches of Lake Malawi, sunsets, cocktails and snorkeling in Zanzibar, and finishing with an epic two days in the incredible Serengeti.

I fell in love with all things Africa and knew that this was where I wanted to live and work…..so far so good 🙂

As you can see from the title it’s all hands on deck in preparation for the upcoming trip….3 days and counting! Having spent two weeks back home, it’s back to work as usual prepping our home (our truck Omaruru), menu planning, shopping and of course a spot of paperwork! It’s all for a good cause because we meet our new passengers on Saturday and leave for the Masai Mara on Sunday.

It’s a very exciting time of the year in the Masai Mara…..each year over 1.5m grazers, including wildebeast and zebra, migrate from the Serengeti to follow the rains. This is what makes the Masai Mara one of the 7 wonders of the world! It’s all to play for and my camera will certainly be ready in hope of capturing one of nature’s great events!
