It has been a dream of mine to take the cable car up and down, but a little fear was on my side (I suffer vertigo), so after many years of attempting this, I finally made it!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=2859\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2859\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2859\" alt=\"FullSizeRender\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/FullSizeRender.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was given a surprise from a friend with a picnic basket of delicious goodies and off we went (my partner and me) to the gates of the cable car. I was a little apprehensive at first, but it all seemed to dissolve when we were in the cable car itself. The take-off was smooth moving and before I knew it, we had reached half way. The views were absolutely stunning as the cable car rotated a 360 view for everyone to see. I was not scared at all!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=2861\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2861\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2861\" alt=\"Table Mountain\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Table-Mountain.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Arriving at the top, we enjoyed a browse through the curio shops and a coffee at the restaurant before meandering the designated paths, happily snapping pictures of every view possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=2863\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2863\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2863\" alt=\"Table Mountain (2)\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Table-Mountain-21.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was time to open our picnic basket of delicious food, so we found the best spot for our picnic and laid it out. It was a quiet spot, less populated with views to die for. I mean, simply perfect!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=2866\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2866\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2866\" alt=\"Table Mountain (5)\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Table-Mountain-5.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Putting our feet up, we sipped champagne and socking in the immense beauty and smells of the prolific native plants and flowers around us, enjoying every breath we took.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=2865\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2865\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2865\" alt=\"Table Mountain (3)\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Table-Mountain-3.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In my personal experience, a picnic on Table Mountain is a delightful way to enjoy this day adventure in the mother city. Take a rug, a cool box and fill it with your goodies of choice.
