Over the next 3 weeks, follow Hannah as she embarks on her adventure of a life time.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Here is Hannah\u2019s second post as she departed Nairobi to see the \u2018Big 5\u2019 game animals of the Maasai Mara and Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks; relax on the white sandy palmed fringed beaches of Zanzibar and interact with the stunning people of Malawi.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=3483\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3483\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3483\" alt=\"pic 16\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/pic-16.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After a short stop in Nairobi to drop off some clients and to pick up some new that join for the next section of the tour, we packed a day bag and headed to the Maasai Mara for a 3day\/ 2night safari in search for the mighty\u00a0 \u2018Big 5\u2019 game animals and what an experience we had! Lion, Leopard, Elephants, Buffalo and rhino in a distance. A truly spectacular adventure.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=3484\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3484\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3484\" alt=\"PIC23\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/PIC23.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our next stop, we crossed the border to Tanzania and embarked on a 3 day\/2 night Serengeti\/ Ngorongoro crater excursion. Not to be missed! As I have travelled Africa a few times \u2013 actually 10 different safari\u2019s now, I must say that the Ngorongoro crater is my absolute favourite. Imagine a safari in a dormant volcano crater? It\u2019s total bliss and holds not only spectacular scenery, but a huge amounts of wildlife including the big 5 all year round.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=3485\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3485\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3485\" alt=\"pic20\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/pic20.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"613\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moving on, we take a 1.5 hour ferry to Zanzibar arriving at the ancient Arabic capital, Stone Town. After enjoying the day and evening meandering the ancient maze like streets and trying the fine spicy cuisine, we make our way to the Northern beaches stopping en-route to sample some of the exotic fruits and the many spices of the Island. Our accommodation was a stone throw from the beach and we enjoyed 2 days swimming in the turquoise azure waters and relaxing on the white sandy palmed fringed beaches.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=3486\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3486\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3486\" alt=\"pic9\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/pic9.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We leave Zanzibar and make our way back to the mainland then to Lake Malawi. Malawi is an incredible country as the people are super friendly, and the wood carving markets are to die for &#8211; make sure you bring some money (best in USD cash in small dominations) as you\u2019re bound to want something! Lake Malawi was also an unexpected surprise for me as I didn\u2019t expect it to be so beautiful. It has the look and feel of an ocean with beaches, where you can lie in hammocks, and yet it\u2019s not salty (and doesn\u2019t have any sharks- double win!).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=3490\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3490\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3490\" alt=\"pic8\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/pic8.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"613\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saying our \u2018goodbye\u2019 to Malawi, we head south to Zambia, and my personal favourite highlight &#8211; Victoria Falls! What a spectacular, amazing and absolutely mesmerising sight as the falls plumper into the Batoka gorge. Entering the park, we got absolutely soaked as we walked around the boardwalks to view this natural wonder.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/?attachment_id=3487\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3487\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3487\" alt=\"pic 21\" src=\"https:\/\/acacia-africa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/pic-21.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Livingstone hosts a numerous amount of activities to suit anyone\u2019s taste, and when we arrived to our camp we were introduced to many optional tours we can choose from.
