Day 1. Windhoek to Etosha National Park Highlights. Etosha National Park, Namibia.
Travelling north from Windhoek, Namibia's capital city, we reach the vast 20,000 sq km reserve that is Etosha National Park. The park is dominated by the central salt pan and there are camps at various waterholes.Day 2. Etosha National Park Highlights. Etosha National Park, Namibia.
This morning we are up early to enjoy a full day game driving in this magnificent park. Keep your eyes peeled for the resident wildlife around the watering holes and on the pan. Home to Lion, leopard, rhino, giraffe and numerous species of antelope and birds, this national park is one of the best places to view wildlife.Day 3. Etosha National Park to Spitzkoppe Highlights. Spitzkoppe, Namibia.
Game driving out of the park, we start heading south through Damaraland towards the giant boulder-like rock formations that make up Spitzkoppe.Day 4. Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund
Onward towards the coast, we will feel the noticeably cooler ocean breezes coming off the cold South Atlantic.Day 5. Swakopmund Highlights. Swakopmund, Namibia.
Today is a free day to enjoy some of the many activities on offer or to simply explore the small town and enjoy the cafe culture and galleries.Day 6. Swakopmund to Sossus On Foot Camp, Khomas Region Highlights. The Tropic of Capricorn.
Leaving the coast and Swakopmund behind, we continue south - crossing the Tropic of Capricorn en-route - to our camp for the night, situated on a farm with a picturesque backdrop of the desert and mountains.Day 7. Sossus On Foot Camp, Khomas Region to Sesriem Area Highlights. Dune 45, Namib Naukluft National Park, Namibia. Sesriem Canyon, Namibia. Sossusvlei, Namibia.
Entering the National Park this morning as the gates open, we start our day with a trek to the top of Dune 45. Two steps up, one step back! Its a strenuous trek, however one is greatly rewarded by some stunning vistas over the sandy desert.Day 8. Sesriem Area to Fish River Canyon Highlights. Fish River Canyon, Namibia. Tsaris Pass, Namibia.
Through the barren and rocky landscape dotted with iconic quiver trees, we reach the Fish River Canyon. Up to 500m deep and some 160km long, it is a wondrous sight and our crew will guide us along to some of the best viewpoints for the best photo opportunities.Day 9. Fish River Canyon to Orange River, Namibia Highlights. Orange (Gariep) River, Namibia.
It's only a short journey on from the Fish River Canyon to our camp for the night on the banks of the Orange (Gariep) River. On arrival, we can take an optional canoe safari, or simply relax by the water's edge and enjoy the spectacular views.Day 10. Orange River to Cederberg Region Highlights. Cape Winelands, South Africa. Cederberg, South Africa.
Crossing the border to South Africa, we travel south through Namaqualand and into the Western Cape Province. Should you be on this tour during spring, we will be lucky enough to see blankets of beautiful wildflowers near the road and as far as the eye can see!Day 11. Cederberg Region to Cape Town Highlights. Cape Town, South Africa.
Our last day on the vehicle takes us through the main citrus farming area of South Africa. In the distance we see the iconic Table Mounting which later welcomes us into the vibrant and beautiful city of Cape Town where we end our tour.Urban Camp in the city of Windhoek is a real gem. The pre-erected tents have all the comforts needed including lights, power points and electric blankets for those cold winter nights. Shared ablutions.
