This tour begins in Cape Town one of the worlds most beautiful cities. After visiting of the city's townships (meeting the local people and see the projects happening in the area), we continue to our accommodation for the evening - in the Cederberg region where we can taste the local wine.

Day 2. Western Cape to Gariep (Orange) River, Namibia Highlights. Orange (Gariep) River, Namibia. Accommodation. Felix Unite.

Today we head north and cross the border with Namibia. Our accommodation is based on the Gariep (Orange) River overlooking the South African side of the border. The accommodation provides you with the necessary comforts like hot showers, flush toilets, swimming pool, bar facilities and the Orange River is safe for swimming! You will be briefed on an optional Orange River canoe safari for later this afternoon or the following morning. The night sky above camp shows a wide expanse of stars on clear Richtersveld nights – a truly peaceful and tranquil experience.

Day 3. Gariep (Orange) River to Fish River Canyon, Namibia Highlights. Fish River Canyon, Namibia. Accommodation. Canon Roadhouse, Fish River Canyon.

After a relaxing morning, we head to the Fish River Canyon. This canyon is the second largest in the world behind the USA's Grand Canyon. A great sight and photo opportunity, especially when the sun sets over the different coloured rock layers.

Day 4. Fish River Canyon to Sesriem Area Highlights. Namib Naukluft Park, Namibia. Accommodation. Sossus Oasis Overland Camp.

Continuing north we head to the Sesriem Area, to the Namib Naukluft National Park - home to the oldest desert and highest sand dunes in the world.

Day 5. Namib Naukluft National Park - Sossus On Foot, Khomas Region Highlights. Dune 45, Namib Naukluft National Park, Namibia. Sesriem Canyon, Namibia. Sossusvlei, Namibia. Accommodation. Sossus On Foot Camp, Khomas Region.

We enter the National Park today. You have the opportunity to reach the top of Dune 45 for magnificent views over a sea of sand dunes. Afterwards we pick up a shuttle ride and head to 'Dead Vlei' for a nature walk to see the famous 'Deadsvlei' and its ancient fossilised trees. After a stop at Sesriem Canyon, we end the day under canvas - on a stunning farm under the Africa stars.

Day 6. Sossus On Foot Camp, Khomas Region to Swakopmund Highlights. Swakopmund, Namibia. The Tropic of Capricorn. Accommodation. Amanpuri Lodge, Swakopmund.

Crossing over the Tropic of Capricorn, we head to Swakopmund on the Atlantic coast. There are plenty of things to do here such as quad biking, sand boarding, sky diving, or visiting the aquarium, museums and art galleries.

Day 7. Swakopmund Highlights. Swakopmund, Namibia. Accommodation. Amanpuri Lodge, Swakopmund.

The day is yours to take on the optional activities available here, or to just enjoy exploring this seaside town.

Day 8. Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe Highlights. Spitzkoppe, Namibia. Accommodation. Spitzkoppe Community Camp.

Heading inland from the coast, we make our way to Spitzkoppe. Here we admire ancient bushman paintings that can be seen on the rock formations - the color of the rocks change to different hues of red during sunset and sunrise.

*Accommodation tonight is under canvas - either in tents or out in the open under the African sky.

Day 9. Spitzkoppe to Etosha Accommodation. Etosha National Park, Namibia.

Leaving Spitzkoppe, we head further north to Etosha National Park. Etosha is home to over 114 mammal and 340 bird species. On arrival we will have an afternoon game drive.

Tonight you'll have the opportunity to observe wildlife at the waterhole where animals will come and go as they refresh with a drink of water.

Day 10. Etosha National Park Highlights. Etosha National Park, Namibia. Accommodation. Etosha National Park, Namibia.

Today we have a full day of game driving in this incredible national park. See the large pan from which the name Etosha hails and observe the many animals as we traverse the dirt tracks throughout the park. As a dry National Park, there are species that are endemic to drier climates - like the majestic Oryx and the sprightly springbok.

Our game drive is in our Acacia vehicle, which with its elevated seating, allows us views over the bush and into the surrounding flora.

Day 11. Etosha to Windhoek Accommodation. Urban Camp, Windhoek.

Today we make our way south to Windhoek, Namibia's capital. Windhoek is a relatively small city with around 200,000 people and we have the evening here to enjoy one of the local restaurants.

Day 12. Windhoek to Omaheke Region, Namibia Highlights. Kalahari Bushman Walk, Omaheke Region, Namibia. Accommodation. Zelda's Guestfarm, Omaheke Region.

Travelling west and away from Windhoek, we cross the Kalahari region to our accommodation for the evening. Here we get to meet the San Bushman on a guided walking tour. Learn unique methods on how they survive in this barren area and how they use plants to cure all kinds of problems.

Day 13. Omaheke Region, Namibia to Maun, Botswana Highlights. Maun, Botswana. Accommodation. Delta Rain Sitatunga Camp, Maun.

Waking early, we cross the border into Botswana. After formalities are complete, we are off to Maun - a thriving tourist town. Maun is the gateway to the Okavango Delta and time permitting, there is the opportunity to take a scenic flight over the Delta before settling in for the night.

Day 14. Maun - Okavango Delta Highlights. Okavango Delta, Botswana. Accommodation. Elephant Bush Camp, Okavango Delta.

The Okavango Delta is a labyrinth of lagoons and waterways covering an area of over 17000 square km - the largest inland delta in the world.

Boarding our open 4x4 transfer vehicle, we make track to meet the polers at the polers station - next to the water's edge. We board our mokoros (dug-out canoes) and venture into the wildness of this UNESCO world heritage site.

Enjoy an afternoon nature walk to view the mammals that roam the plains and relax around open fire on this amazing overnight excursion.

We can explore the area around the camp on a walking safari.

Day 15. Okavango Delta to Maun Accommodation. Delta Rain Sitatunga Camp, Maun.

This morning we leave the Delta and head back to Maun. The afternoon can be spent around the pool or choosing the optional scenic flight you might have not had time for on Day 13. Alternatively there is also the option to explore the surrounds on horse back.

Day 16. Maun to Elephant Sands, Nata Highlights. Elephant Sands, Nata, Botswana. Accommodation. Elephant Sands, Nata.

Today we make our way to Nata and our accommodation for the evening at Elephant Sands, based on the outskirts of the Magkadikgadi Pans reserve. There are no fences here, so you may be lucky enough to see some wildlife roaming to the waterholes the camp is so famous for.

Day 17. Elephant Sands, Nata to Kasane Highlights. Chobe Fish Eagle Cruise, Botswana. Chobe National Park, Botswana. Accommodation. Thebe River Lodge.

Heading north, we make our way to Chobe National Park. We take a 'Fish Eagle' cruise along the Chobe River which is led by expert guides. With over 80,000 elephants in the park, hippo's, water birds, buffalo, crocodile and puku to name a few you get to view these magnificent animals as they come down to the river to drink.

Day 18. Kasane to Livingstone, Zambia Highlights. Victoria Falls - Mosi oa Tunya National Park, Zambia. Accommodation. The Zambezi Waterfront, Livingstone.

Before making our way into Zambia, we go on an open vehicle game drive around Chobe National Park in search of all the other animals and prolific bird species we may not have seen the day before.

Our next stop is Livingstone in Zambia. Livingstone is home to the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the worlds largest waterfalls. We stop for a few hours to admire its beauty before settling into our accommodation for the night.

Day 19. Livingstone Highlights. Livingstone Activities, Zambia.

Today our tour ends after breakfast. There are plenty of activities to enjoy here and we would recommend staying on a couple of days to make the most of these.
