Day 1. Pretoria to Kruger National Park
Leaving the city of Pretoria behind, we travel via the dramatic panoramic region with sweeping views of the Mpumalanga province to Hazyview, a green sub-tropical farming town on the outskirts of the central Kruger National Park.Day 2. This morning we are up early and board open 4x4 safari vehicles with resident guides for a full day game driving in South Africa's famed Kruger National Park.Day 3. Hazyview to Tshipise Highlights. Tshipise, South Africa.
This morning we travel through the countryside dotted with baobab trees to Tshipise, a small town in northern Limpopo province. Our campsite for the night is adjacent to the rocky outcrops of the Honnet Nature Reserve.Day 4. Tshipise to Bulawayo area
Get your passport ready, today we are departing South Africa and cross into Zimbabwe en route to Bulawayo.Day 5. Matobo National Park Highlights. Matobo National Park, Zimbabwe.
Rising early, we board our open 4x4 safari vehicle with our local guide who will take us to the famous Matobo National Park - known for the Matobo Hills, a range of balancing rock formations created by the erosion of the granite plateau. This park is famed for having the largest concentration of black and white rhino in Africa and provided the conditions are right, our local guides will lead us on foot in search for these magnificent creatures on a wilderness walk.Day 6. Bulawayo to Livingstone, Zambia Highlights. Victoria Falls - Mosi oa Tunya National Park, Zambia.
Another border crossing today, moving on from Bulawayo we continue north passing through Victoria Falls town before crossing into Zambia. Once we are in Livingstone, a visit to the mighty Victoria Falls is included this afternoon.Day 7. Livingstone Highlights. Livingstone Activities, Zambia.
Today is a free day to explore this adventure town to its fullest or opt for an optional activity. Livingstone has something for everyone – adventurers, adrenalin junkies and explorers.Day 8. Livingstone to Kasane, Botswana Highlights. Chobe Fish Eagle Cruise, Botswana.
Have your passports ready again, today we leave Zambia behind and travel the short distance across to Botswana. After border formalities we make our way to Kasane town, the gateway to Chobe National Park. We take a sunset 'Fish Eagle' river cruise on the Chobe River this afternoon - a great opportunity to see the many elephants and possibly hippo and buffalo coming to the river to bathe and drink.Day 9. We rise early to head out and explore Chobe National Park in an open safari vehicle for a morning game drive. If you missed anything on the river cruise, here is your chance before we make our way to Elephant Sands campsite in Nata. This campsite is famous for its visitors as there are no fences and the wildlife roam freely. Many groups are lucky enough to see the elephants come right into camp.Day 10. Nata to Maun Highlights. Today we are making our way to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta and the 'tourist capital' of Botswana.Day 11. Maun to Okavango Delta Highlights. Okavango Delta, Botswana.
This morning we leave our camp in Maun and make our way by 4x4 open safari vehicle through villages and Mopane tree forests to the Mokoro station. From here we are met by our local Tswana Polers who will be our guides for our overnight excursion.Day 12. Okavango Delta to Maun
Today, if time allows, we take a morning walk with the local guides before indulging in a scrumptious breakfast - made from the local Tswana team.Day 13. Maun to Omaheke Region, Namibia Highlights. Kalahari Bushman Walk, Omaheke Region, Namibia.
With passports ready, we exit Botswana skirting the northern reaches of the Kalahari Desert into Namibia. Our camp is situated a few km from the border in the Omeheke Region. Here in the seemingly barren land, we meet the Kalahari Bushman and join them on a guided walk to learn their unique culture and how they survived over 100,000 years living off the land.Day 14. Omaheke Region to Windhoek, Namibia Highlights. Windhoek, Namibia.
Travelling west, we make our way to Windhoek, the largest city and the capital of Namibia. This city is characterised by a proliferation of German-style buildings and eateries.Day 15. Windhoek to Etosha National Park
Heading north from Windhoek we are making our way to Etosha National Park. Famous for its salt pan, which is seasonally full of water but also for the specially managed waterholes that sustain hundreds of mammals and birdlife throughout the year.Day 16. Etosha National Park Highlights. Etosha National Park, Namibia.
At 22, 270 sq km, Etosha National Park is home to over 114 mammal species and over 340 bird species that we eagerly search for on our full day's game drive.Day 17. Etosha to Spitzkoppe Highlights. Spitzkoppe, Namibia.
Departing Etosha National Park, game driving as we exit, we turn south and head toward Damaraland region. We camp at the eerie Spitzkoppe with giant boulder-like rock formations that create a spectacular view. The rock changes colour at sunset to a deep, intense red colour which makes for some incredible photography.Day 18 . Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund
We spend the next two nights on the Atlantic coastal town of Swakopmund. Swakopmund is described as the adventure capital of Namibia, offering some great desert based optional activities. Anyone not keen on seeking adventure, this town has some great shops, restaurants, museums or simply walk around and enjoy the old german architecture and enjoy the cafe culture this town has to offer.Day 19. Swakopmund Highlights. Swakopmund, Namibia.
A free day to Swakopmund. Why not try the sandboarding, quad biking, deep sea fishing, sky diving or a township tour to explore the unique cultural side of this quaint seaside town.Day 20. Swakopmund to Sossus On Foot camp, Khomas Region Highlights. The Tropic of Capricorn.
Continuing south, we traverse down through spectacular sheer rocky cliffs of the Kuiseb and Gaub passes to the Tropic of Capricorn. It's here, we stop for a photo opportunity en route to our bush camp for the evening located in the Khomas region near a small town of Solitaire.Day 21. Sossus On Foot camp, Khomas Region to Sesriem Area Highlights. Dune 45, Namib Naukluft National Park, Namibia. Sesriem Canyon, Namibia. Sossusvlei, Namibia.
We wake up early this morning and head inside the national park to trek to the top of famous Dune 45.Day 22. Sesriem Area to Fish River Canyon Highlights. Fish River Canyon, Namibia.
Today we drive south through barren and rocky landscapes to the world’s second largest canyon. Fish River Canyon is one of the natural wonders of Africa, some 500m deep and over 160km long.Day 23. Fish River Canyon to Orange River Highlights. Orange (Gariep) River, Namibia.
Today we continue south toward the camp overlooking the Orange River on the Namibian side. This afternoon is free where you can relax by the river or take an optional canoe safari on the Orange River.Day 24. Orange River to Cederberg Area Highlights. Cederberg, South Africa.
Today we cross the border to South Africa and head through the Namaqualand to our picturesque camp based near the Olifants River. A wine tasting option activity is must for our last night on tour together.Day 25. Cederberg to Cape Town Highlights. Cape Town, South Africa.
This morning we are making our way toward the mother city - Cape Town - one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
