Travel on this small group adventure accommodated tour from the beautiful tropical island of Zanzibar to the thundering Victoria Falls and tranquil Okavango Delta. Game drive in Chobe and Etosha National Park, and climb the towering sand dunes in the worlds oldest desert, before finishing in stunning Cape Town. This tour will give you an amazing experience of the top highlights of Africa.

This safari is also available in reverse starting in Cape Town and ending in Dar es Salaam and as a camping tour.

Day 1. Stone Town, Zanzibar Highlights. Stone Town, Zanzibar, Tanzania. Accommodation. All Seasons Hotel, Zanzibar.

This morning we make the short ferry crossing from Dar es Salaam to Stone Town on Zanzibar. Explore Stone Town by foot walking through its cobbled alleyways, palaces, courtyards and mosques.

Enjoy an evening exploring the Forodhani market, sipping a fresh fruity cocktail overlooking the ocean or head out for a night on the town in the local bars.

Day 2-3. Kendwa Beach, Zanizibar Highlights. Zanzibar, Northern Beaches, Tanzania. Accommodation. Sunset Bungalows Kendwa.

Time on Zanzibar is quite flexible with one night in Stone Town and two nights on the north of the island.

This morning you'll have free time to enjoy some of the local activities including a spice tour. We then head up to the north and check into our beach accommodation for the next days.

Explore the warm clear tropical waters scuba diving, snorkelling and swimming or chill out in a hammock on the beach. Close b is Nungwi, a village on the northern tip. Here you can speed up the pace a big and visit some of the bars that dot the cove's edge.

Day 4. Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam Highlights. Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Accommodation. Kipepeo Beach Village, Dar es Salaam.

Retracing our footsteps we return back to Stone Town for some last-minute shopping before we board our ferry to the mainland.

We spend our last night alongside the Indian ocean before heading inland.

Day 5. Dar es Salaam to Mikumi Highlights. Mikumi National Park, Tanzania. Accommodation. Tanswiss, Mikumi.

Leaving the hustle and bustle behind we make our way inland through Mikumi National Park, hoping to spot some wildlife on the side of the road. Our accommodation for the evening is just outside the park gates. Depending on time, you may get to take an optional open 4x4 safari game drive into the park in search of the resident wildlife.

Day 6. Mikumi to Iringa Highlights. Mikumi National Park, Tanzania. Accommodation. Iringa Farmhouse.

Today we make our way to the town of Iringa and the Kisolanza Farm in the Southern Tanzanian Highlands. This is a working farm that provides organic meat and vegetables to local markets and home to the Ghaui family for over 70 years.

Day 7. Iringa to Chitimba Beach, Malawi Highlights. Lake Malawi, Malawi. Accommodation. Chitimba Camp, Lake Malawi.

Waving 'goodbye' to Tanzania we enter into another amazing county - Malawi. Over the next two nights, we get to explore the lake from our accommodation which is situated a stone throw from the shoreline.

Day 8. Chitimba Beach Accommodation. Chitimba Camp, Lake Malawi.

Enjoy a free day at leisure or embark on a wonderful hike and a school visit to Machewe Falls. When reaching the top cool off in a natural bath.

Day 9. Kande Beach Accommodation. Kande Beach, Malawi.

We travel further along the lake today via Malawi's third-largest town Mzuzu to Kande Beach where we will spend the next 2 nights. It's here in this tranquil setting you can join a village walk, swim or opt to relax on the water's edge.

Day 10. Kande Beach Highlights. Kande Beach Activities, Malawi. Lake Malawi, Malawi. Accommodation. Kande Beach, Malawi.

Today is a free day to enjoy the many optional activities of the area or get to know the locals with a game of volleyball on the beach. if it's downtime you are after, simply pick up a book and admire the surroundings.

Day 11. Kande Beach to Chipata, Zambia Accommodation. Mamarula Camp.

It's time to leave this majestic lake and make our way to Zambia, a new country stamp to add to our passports!

Our first night is at a small town of Chipata, the capital of Zambia's Eastern Province.

Day 12. Chipata to Lusaka Highlights. Lusaka, Zambia. Accommodation. Eureka Camp, Lusaka.

Today, we leave early and take the Great Eastern Road across the Luangwa River to Zambia's capital Lusaka. This city is Southern Africa's fastest-growing city. Our accommodation is based outside of the city centre on a small farm where resident zebra's and antelope roam its land.

Day 13. Lusaka to Livingstone Highlights. Livingstone Activities, Zambia. Victoria Falls - Mosi oa Tunya National Park, Zambia. Accommodation. The Zambezi Waterfront, Livingstone.

Exciting times ahead! Leaving Lusaka we travel south to Livingstone which is home to the largest curtain waterfall in the world - Victoria Falls. We visit the mighty falls themselves before heading to our accommodation on the banks of the Zambezi River. Time over the next 3 days is at leisure to enjoy the many optional activities the area is famous for.

Day 14-16. Livingstone Highlights. Livingstone Activities, Zambia. Accommodation. The Zambezi Waterfront, Livingstone.

Relax by the water's edge or enjoy some of the optional activities available. Bungee jump, gorge swing, abseiling, game walks, sunset cruises, white water rafting and more.

Day 17. Livingstone to Kasane, Botswana Highlights. Chobe Fish Eagle Cruise, Botswana. Victoria Falls - Mosi oa Tunya National Park, Zambia. Accommodation. Thebe River Lodge.

Departing Livingstone today we make the short border crossing into Botswana and the town of Kasane. From here we access Chobe National Park famous for its elephant population and numerous wildlife that inhabit the area. In the afternoon take a Fish Eagle Cruise along the Chobe River keeping an eye out for the various wildlife that we can see on the banks.

Day 18. Chobe National Park to Elephant Sands Highlights. Chobe National Park Game Drive, Botswana. Elephant Sands, Nata, Botswana. Accommodation. Elephant Sands, Nata.

This morning we board open 4x4 safari vehicle for a rewarding morning game drive in the Chobe National Park. Home to lion, buffalo, hippo, lions, antelopes and an array of birds, we venture deep into the park in the search for the resident wildlife not see on the cruise the evening before.

Leaving the Chobe behind, we take the southern road to our accommodation at Elephant Sands. This amazing place has a fresh watering hole in the middle of the camp allowing great game viewing experiences.

Day 19. Nata to Maun Highlights. Maun, Botswana. Accommodation. Delta Rain Sitatunga Camp, Maun.

Leaving Nata today we make our way to the town of Maun - the gateway to the Okavango Delta. After a short stop in town we venture to our accommodation. Here we will spend a relaxing afternoon around the pool and later prepare for our overnight excursion to the Okavango Delta the following morning.

Day 20. Okavango Delta Highlights. Okavango Delta, Botswana. Accommodation. Elephant Bush Camp, Okavango Delta.

Rising early, we board an open 4x4 safari vehicle and transfer to meet our guides and polers at the station. On arrival, we board our mokoro, sit back and relax whilst we are poled through the labyrinthine of lagoons and swaying grasses to our tented camp for the evening.

An afternoon wildness walk with the guides will happen before evening falls.

Day 21. Maun Accommodation. Delta Rain Sitatunga Camp, Maun.

Rising to the sound of the wilderness, we pack our mokoros after a rewarding breakfast and make our way back th the poler station. Our 4x4 transfer vehicle will be awaiting to take us back to Maun. If time allows take an optional scenic flight to view this UNESCO World Heritage site from above.

Day 22. Maun, Botswana to Omaheke Region, Namibia Highlights. Kalahari Bushman Walk, Omaheke Region, Namibia. Accommodation. Zelda's Guestfarm, Omaheke Region.

Today we make our way via Ghanzi, a town on the edge of the Kalahari Desert to the border. Completing formalities we make our way to our accommodation a short distance from the Namibian border. We meet a local guide and the San/Bushman who will take us on a guided tour of this area showing us how they have survived for over 100,000 years.

Day 23. Omaheke Region to Windhoek, Namibia Highlights. Windhoek, Namibia. Accommodation. Urban Camp, Windhoek.

This morning we make our way to the countries capital, Windhoek. This is a small capital city compared to global standards with a population of around 200,000.

After settling in, venture to the town. Windhoek has numerous bars and restaurants to sample the local cuisine - one, in particular, is the famous - Joe's Beer House.

Day 24. Windhoek to Etosha National Park Accommodation. Etosha National Park, Namibia.

Heading north from Windhoek we are making our way to Namibia's most well known National Park - Etosha. Famous for its salt pan, which is seasonally full of water but also for the specially managed waterholes that sustain hundreds of mammals and birdlife throughout the year. We stay inside this park for the next two nights.

Day 25. Etosha National Park Highlights. Etosha National Park, Namibia. Accommodation. Etosha National Park, Namibia.

Today we have a full day game driving looking out for many of the wildlife in this park. Around 114 mammals and over 340 bird species call Etosha home.

We travel the winding pathways in search of resident wildlife - look out for the majestic Oryx, the quirky springbok and the elusive rhino.

Day 26. Etosha National Park - Spitzkoppe Highlights. Spitzkoppe, Namibia. Accommodation. Spitzkoppe Community Camp.

Game driving out of Etosha we make our way south to the Damaraland region and Spitzkoppe.
We camp at the eerie Spitzkoppe with giant boulder-like rock formations that create a spectacular view. The rock changes colour at sunset to a deep, intense red colour which makes for some incredible photography.

Day 27. Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund Highlights. Swakopmund, Namibia. Accommodation. Amanpuri Lodge, Swakopmund.

Leaving Spitzkoppe today we make our way further south to the Atlantic Ocean coast and the town of Swakopmund. We spend the next two days here allowing you to take on some of the optional activities available including skydiving, quad biking, sand boarding, township tour and more.

Day 28. Swakopmund Highlights. Swakopmund, Namibia. Accommodation. Amanpuri Lodge, Swakopmund.

Today is a free day for you to enjoy the optional activities available or simply explore Swakopmund and its restaurants, cafes and patisseries.

Day 29. Swakopmund to Sossus On Foot Camp, Khomas Region Highlights. The Tropic of Capricorn. Accommodation. Sossus Oasis Overland Camp.

Leaving the cool breeze of the Atlantic Ocean behind, we turn inwards and cross over the Tropic of Capricorn, stopping for a photo opportunity.

Situated on the northern outskirts of the great Namib Desert, we spend the night under canvas in a remote desert camp where you'll find the stars in this wilderness absolutely unforgettable!

Day 30. Sossus On Foot Camp, Khomas Region to Sesriem area Highlights. Dune 45, Namib Naukluft National Park, Namibia. Sesriem Canyon, Namibia. Sossusvlei, Namibia. Accommodation. Little Sossus Lodge, Namib Naukluft .

Leaving our camp early this morning we via Solitaire, the smallest town in Namibia and enter the Namib Naukluft National Park. It's here we trek to the top of the world famous Dune 45 and take a transfer further into the park to 'Dead Vlei' where we go on a nature walk.

Departing from the dunes, we stop off at the smaller Sesriem Canyon where the multiple layers of rock and pebbles make for an interesting insight into what lies beneath this sea of sand. It's then off to our accommodation for the night.

Day 31. Sesriem area to Fish River Canyon Highlights. Fish River Canyon, Namibia. Accommodation. Canon Roadhouse, Fish River Canyon.

Today we make our way to the worlds second largest canyon, Fish River Canyon. 160km long and around 500m deep its one of Africa's natural wonders.

Day 32. Fish River Canyon to Orange (Gariep) River, South Africa Highlights. Orange (Gariep) River, Namibia. Accommodation. Felix Unite.

Today, we travel south to the Gariep (Orange) river. Our accommodation lies on the banks of the river on the Namibian side where on arrival, we have the opportunity to partake in an optional canoe safari on the river to see the striking Richtersveld scenery, or simply relax on the water’s edge.

Day 33. Orange (Gariep) River to Cederberg Region Highlights. Cederberg, South Africa. Accommodation. Highlanders Camp, Cederberg.

Leaving Namibia behind, we cross into South Africa and make our way south via Namaqualand. Our last night's accommodation is set in the picturesque Cederberg region where you can sample some of the region's wine.

Day 34. Cederberg Region to Cape Town Highlights. Cape Town, South Africa.

Today we leave the Cederberg Region and make our way to the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town where our tour ends.

Kipepeo Beach Village, Dar es Salaam

An informal and secure thatched resort set on a golden stretch of beach on the south coast of Dar es Salaam and reached by ferry from the city centre. The relaxed restaurant is well-known for its seafood, and has tables set in the sand and hammocks strung up in the palm trees.
