Day 1. Port Elizabeth – Knysna Highlights. Birds Of Eden. Knysna, South Africa. Monkeyland.

Departing the ‘Friendly City’, we journey to the Tsitsikamma National Park, the highest road bridge in Africa (Bloukrans @ 216m), The Birds of Eden – the world’s largest free-flight aviary and Monkeyland – home to over 700 species of primates. We continue to the Knysna lagoon and Knysna town, best-known for its unique locally made art & craft.

Day 2. Knysna - Oudtshoorn

This morning is yours at leisure to explore the charming town of Knysna before we travel via George, the lush forests of the Wilderness National Park and the picturesque Outeniqua Mountains to Oudtshoorn. It’s here we visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch before dinner.

Day 3. Oudtshoorn - Mossel Bay Highlights. Cango Caves, South Africa. Oudtshoorn, Ostrich Farm, South Africa.

Today, we visit some historical landmarks dating back to the ostrich industry boom of the 1860s, as well as a working ostrich farm where we view and learn about these magnificent birds. Next is a guided tour of the Cango Caves - a dripstone caverns system with vast halls of towering Stalactite and Stalagmite formations. After our visit, we continue to Mossel Bay.

Day 4. Mossel Bay - Cape Town Highlights. Hermanus, South Africa.

Rising early, we visit the Post Office Tree where Portuguese explorer Bartholomew Dias made land-fall in 1488, before continuing to the coastal town of Hermanus, known as the best land-based spot for whale watching. Humpback and Southern Right whales seasonally frequent the coastline during the calving season during May to November - makes for spectacular ‘breach’ viewing and photo opportunities. Our tour will end on arrival to Cape Town.
