Botswana Overland Tour

Day 1. Victoria Falls Highlights. Zambezi Sunset Cruise - Zimbabwe.

This tour begins on arrival in Victoria Falls where you are transferred to your hotel. This afternoon we head out for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River where we have the chance to spot wildlife along the way.

Day 2. Victoria Falls Highlights. Victoria Falls National Park.

Immerse yourself in the local Zimbabwean culture today with a full day spent in the Victoria Falls area.

First we visit the Victoria Falls National Park for a look at the mighty Zambezi as it plummets over its rocky edge to the Batoka Gorge. From here we explore the local market before heading to the Chamobondo primary school to interact with the students there.

After lunch we visit the Rose of Charity orphanage and see what this group is doing to help support their local community.

Day 3. Chobe National Park Highlights. Chobe Fish Eagle Cruise, Botswana. Chobe National Park Game Drive, Botswana.

Waking early, we drive to the border of Botswana and once border formalities are completed, we take the short drive to the Chobe National Park.

Boarding the safari vehicles, we are soon transported into the wilderness in search of the resident wildlife. With a high variety of both mammals and birds, you're sure to have a thrilling game drive experience.

We head to the Chobe River at lunch - the lifeblood of the northern part of the National Park, where we board a boat to start our game viewing cruise of the Chobe River. By far one of the most popular activities in the area, it is from here that we can see the elephants, buffalo and other wildlife come down to the water to drink. There are also hippo, crocodiles and a mass of birdlife including the majestic African Fish Eagle.

We arrive back to Victoria Falls in the late afternoon with an evening at leisure to explore the restaurants in town, or simply sit back and relax after an exciting day in the wild.

Day 4. Victoria Falls

Today is a free day to enjoy some of the activities available in the Victoria Falls area. Choose from the adrenaline or adventure activities like white water rafting or bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls bridge; or the more relaxing activities like a scenic flight over the falls.

With all that action there is also the opportunity to enjoy some quiet relaxation at the hotel pool, or pop in to the old colonial Victoria Falls Hotel for high tea.

Day 5. Victoria Falls

Your last morning is spent at leisure catching up on some last minute souvenir shopping and getting ready for your onward travel.
