Day 1. Johannesburg to Hazyview Highlights. Pilgrims Rest.

Leaving the city behind, we travel via Middleburg, Dullstroom and the scenic Robber’s Pass to Pilgrim’s Rest, a small museum town dating back to the 1800’s gold discovery era, where we soak up the rich history of the area. We take a pleasant walk to the Lone Creek Falls, a beautiful waterfall in the forest, plummeting 70m into the creek below before heading to our quaint country accommodation on the banks of the Sabie River.

Day 2. Hazyview - Hoedspruit Highlights. Balule Nature Reserve. Blyde River Canyon, South Africa. Bourke's Luck Pot Holes, South Africa.

Today we visit The Pinnacle, God’s Window, Lisbon Falls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon. We walk along the sheer cliffs to appreciate the breath-taking views. We then descend to the Lowveld via Abel Erasmus Pass and the Strijdom Tunnel to Balule Private Game Reserve (part of the Greater Kruger National Park). On arrival, we enjoy a game drive hoping to spot the ‘Big 5’ – elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard.

Day 3. Hoedspruit - Kruger National Park Highlights. Kruger National Park, South Africa.

This morning we enjoy a game drive and if the weather permits, nature walk to view the numerous antelope and other wildlife species on foot, before heading to the famed Kruger National Park. Kruger Park is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa and home to a multitude of Fauna and Flora species – here the wildlife is free to roam the whopping 19 485 sq km of the park. We game drive some more in the hope to spot some of the more elusive species we might not have seen so far.

Day 4. Kruger National Park – Swaziland Highlights. Ngwenya Glass factory, Swaziland.

Rising early, we set off in our vehicle to spot some more wildlife before waving good-bye to Kruger Park. We then head to Eswatini (Swaziland) via Piggs Peak through magnificent mountain terrain to the Ngwenya Glass factory to witness first-hand, the magical art of glassblowing. After our visit, we continue to the capital Mbabane where we overnight.

Day 5. Swaziland - Zululand Highlights. Swaziland (Eswatini). Zulu Nyala Private Reserve.

After breakfast, we visit the famed Swazi Candles to view local art and craft making processes before continuing through the Ezulwini valley towards the border. We re-enter into South Africa and make our way to the Zulu Nyala Private Game Reserve. Here we will settle in before boarding a 4x4 safari vehicle with our eagle-eyed safari guide in search of wildlife including rhino, elephant, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, cheetah and an array of birdlife.

Day 6. Zulu Nyala Private Game Reserve - Durban Highlights. Durban City . Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, South Africa. St Lucia River Cruise, South Africa.

This morning we set off in our vehicle to the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal’s premier game reserve which hosts the famous “Big Five” and many other wildlife species. After a rewarding game drive, we exit the park and head to St Lucia, the gateway to iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Here we join a boat cruise on the estuary to view the numerous bird species, hippo pods and crocodiles lazing along the sandy banks. After our unforgettable experience, we make our way through towering eucalyptus forests and sugar cane fields to Durban where our tour ends.
