Day 1. Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park Accommodation. Sable Sands Lodge, Hwange.

Arriving into Victoria Falls you will be met at the Airport and transferred to Zimbabwe's famous National Park, Hwange.

*For those already in Victoria Falls, the meeting point on this day will be at Victoria Falls Rest Camp, Parkway Drive.

Hwange National Park was once the royal hunting ground, but today remains one of the biggest reserves in Africa and home to impressive wildlife numbers including massive herds of African elephant.

Day 2. Hwange National Park Highlights. Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe. Accommodation. Sable Sands Lodge, Hwange.

Today we transfer to open safari vehicles and enter Hwange National Park. This world-renowned national park contains over 100 mammal species including the 'Big 5' (leopard, lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo). The park is also known for its giraffe, cheetah, gemsbok, hyena and the Wild (Painted) Dog. We game drive in the morning and early evening and rest during the heat of the day.

Day 3. Hwange National Park – Victoria Falls Highlights. Zambezi sunset cruise - Zimbabwe. Accommodation. Sprayview Hotel.

We rise early and enter the park for a game drive in hope to spot any of the animals we may have missed the day before.

We take our leave of the park and make our way back to Victoria Falls and our hotel for the next two nights.

The local name for Victoria Falls is ‘Mosi Oa Tunya’ (‘The Smoke that Thunders’) referring to the huge spray that this huge curtain of falling water creates in full flood.

In the late afternoon we join a sunset dinner cruise on the mighty Zambezi River, hoping to spot the many animals coming to drink at the water's edge and enjoy the impressive views of the river at sunset.

Day 4. Victoria Falls Highlights. Victoria Falls Town - Activities. Accommodation. Sprayview Hotel.

Your lodge is situated close to the town centre, so there is and opportunity to relax when not doing activities and enjoy the camp's tranquil surrounds.

We highly recommend you book optional activities a day or so in advance to avoid missing out. Popular activities include scenic flights for a birds-eye view of the falls, bungy jumping off the Livingstone Bridge, gorge swinging, jet boating, game drives and cultural excursions to name just a few. Alternatively, explore the town which offers a wide variety of unique experiences and great shopping opportunities.

Day 5. Victoria Falls Highlights. Victoria Falls National Park.

Today we head out to enjoy a guided tour of the Victoria Falls to watch the spectacle and see the enormous Batoka Gorge into which the Zambezi plunges. After viewing the Falls, you'll be transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport where your tour arrangements end.
