It may be winter in South Africa, but when it comes to Big Seven the opportunities are hotting up.  You can also grab a 15% discount on our 7-day Coast To Cape Town small group tour, and with two migrations on the cards, luck might strike twice on your safari.

Our week-long tour winds its way along the rugged Wild Coast region and across the scenic Garden Route to Cape Town – “the greatest gathering of predators on the planet,” a “must see” on the beach and bush trip.

Also known as “the greatest shoal on earth,” on the Sardine Run sharks, dolphins, Cape Ganets, cormorants, seals and sometimes Orcas, follow the large schools of fish as they make their way to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.  Best viewed in late June/July, this period is also prime time whale watching season in Hermanus. And, a bonus for any migration fans, the historical fishing village employs its own whale crier – several hundred Southern Right Sperm whales journeying past its shores.

Hop on our Coast to Cape Town tour – CTC7 departing 29 June and 13 July. Starts Durban ends Cape Town for prime viewing opportunities.

Ending in Cape Town, expect a safari with a bit more bite – Great White cage diving- SHK3 on offer in South Africa’s Mother City.
