A high five for the Okavango Delta & saving the Serengeti!

By 8th July 2014 No Comments

We have three great reasons to visit Africa this week, starting with the Okavango Delta. The continent’s last remaining wetland wilderness has just achieved UNESCO World Heritage status, which is all the more reason to jump in a mokoro and kick back in Botswana’s back country! Now the 1000th location inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Okavango was declared as a natural site by the World Heritage Committee.

OWT7A (2)More great news for wildlife enthusiasts, the proposed 53km super highway intended for construction across the Serengeti has been declared unlawful by the East African Court of Justice. A major hub on our overland tours, why not celebrate and join us on our 11-day Highlights of Tanzania expedition!

IMG_4060 (2)The Kenya Tourist Board’s #‎WhyILoveKenya online campaign and the annual migration are also currently hot and happening so why not book a front row seat to this world renowned wildlife spectacle  and help to promote this amazing country on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the campaign hashtag.
