We have created a unique and exciting camping overland tour by joining forces with photography specialists from travel blog Getting Stamped. Photography is central to the safari experience and by teaming up with the bloggers, our 18-day Mountain Gorillas to the Mara tour (departing on 02 May), is sure to be a win win with our snap happy clients, as they be picking up expert advice on taking the perfect wildlife shot throughout the overland journey.
Husband and wife team Adam and Hannah Lucaszewicz edit the Getting Stamped travel blog. They are writers and freelance travel photographers traversing the globe in search of the most unique and amazing experiences the world has to offer. The couple have been out on the road for over a year and they now share our passion for Africa, the pair finishing our 43 day Kenya to Cape Town in June. Everyone on their expedition was able to glean expert tips on travel blogging and we got to see what Hannah and Adam thought about Africa through their incredible safari images and blog posts. Adam’s keen eye for photography impressed us so much we chose one of his images to feature on the cover of our brand new 2015 Africa brochure. That’s why we’re inviting them back to Africa and this time they will be sharing their knowledge and expertise behind the lens with you!
Our 18-day Mountain Gorillas to the Mara camping overland expedition will be a journey filled with incredible landscapes, beautiful sunsets, starry nights and arguably the best wildlife encounters in the world. From game driving in the Lake Nakuru National Park and the Masai Mara to Chimpanzee & Gorilla trekking in the Ugandan wilderness, you are sure to leave Africa with more photographs and memories than you could ever imagine. Our itinerary was designed to maximize your experience on safari by taking in the main highlights of Kenya and Uganda. We will start with the panoramic Great Rift Valley, head to Lake Nakuru, famous for its pink fringe of flamingos, then cross the equator for game viewing at the Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll enjoy chimpanzee trekking at Kyambura Gorge, the serenity of Lake Bunyonyi and you will have the option to participate in adrenaline activities at Jinja – the source of the Nile River. Of course, the big highlight of this tour is the very special encounter with the magnificent mountain gorillas – an audience with these endangered primates one of the most sought after wildlife viewing experiences in Africa! The tour ends with a two day excursion in Kenya’s premier national park, the Maasai Mara – and we have no doubt that the trip will leave you with an everlasting desire to discover more of this diverse and dynamic continent.
Hannah & Adam are joining this departure to offer first hand ‘snapping’ lessons to our adventurers and give them the chance to learn how to capture excellent safari photographs. Mirroring the relaxed nature of overlanding Getting Stamped will be running informal lessons on daily basis and offering advise to travellers in the various parks and reserves visited on this tour. A wealth of wildlife encounters are waiting for you on this safari and Getting Stamped will be right there with you offering advice at every point on the expedition.
