We’re Putting Mozambique Back On The Map!

By 24th March 2015 No Comments

Mozambique is back on our bucket list so get ready to spice up your adventure on the sands.

The UK FCO recently removed the advisory covering Sofala province and that’s good news for those of you who high fived the country in our recent Facebook  polls.
Zanzibar
Our 14-day Mozambique & Zimbabwe Explorer includes various stops along the country’s scenic coast from Vilankulos to Xai-Xai, and our first 25 June departure is filling up fast!
Still relatively undiscovered, Mozambique is a must see if you’re in search of a more remote Africa, this hidden treasure combining unspoilt beaches and excellent dive opportunities with a heady cultural vibe.

The Bazaruto Archipelago National Marine Park is one of the major highlights on our camping overland expedition – the group of five islands recognised by the WWF as a gift to the earth.

We visit the coastal town of Vilankulos which is only a short dhow ride from Magaruque Island, the white sand paradise offering reef snorkelling right on its doorstep. A ready made island for the adventurous, you can also hike to a 19th century fort, snorkel with turtles and drift dive.

Further south you’ll find even more alluring beach backdrops. Xai Xai’s coral reef is a magnet for a variety of marine life and Tofo has one of the highest Whale Shark populations in the world.

Travel northbound or southbound with us, but go before the secret that is Mozambique gets out!
