On the 3rd of October people from all over the world trumpeted their horns in solidarity and took to the streets in the Global March For Elephants & Rhinos. But, in Uganda they decided to do things differently – 70 rafters from Nile River Explorers racing down the rapids of the world’s longest river in a bid to raise awareness of the poaching crisis.
Acacia Africa were proud to be one of the sponsors of this year’s “Raft Against Extinction,” the event, which was attended by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, raising a whopping $7,000 USD for the Uganda Conservation Foundation & Rhino Fund!
