East Africa Makes Lonely Planet’s Best Value 2016 List

Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania are in at number three on Lonely Planet’s Best Value Destinations for 2016 list. There’s no doubt East Africa is ripe for explorers hoping to experience some of the world’s great wonders, from gorilla encounters to Rift Valley scenery and stunning palm fringed beaches.

Uganda’s  is one to watch, the country a birder’s paradise and home to 11% of the world’s bird species (more than North America). A year round activity, the peak time for twitterers is between November and April when scores of migrant species flock to the Pearl of Africa.
