The Zambian Ministry of Home Affairs has launched an electronic visa application facility, e-visa. The two-step visa application will take between three and five working days to process and you will be able to check the status of your application online.
Your e-visa approval letter can be obtained electronically after submitting required information and payment, made in cash or via credit/debit card (MasterCard or Visa) at the point of entry. Immigration officers will verify your e-visa using the online system, but travellers are being advised to download and keep a hard copy of the e-visa approval letter.
A single-entry visa will cost US$50, a double/multiple-entry visa will cost US$80, a transit visa will cost US$50 and a day-trip visa will cost US$20. To find out whether or not you need a visa to enter Zambia click “apply” and select your country of origin.
