Alarming is the question of what will become of Africa’s splendid fauna and flaura in the future. Will governments succeed in finding the right balance in the division of the available space between the animals and the steadily growing population?
Faced with this ordeal, Africans show a resilience and optimism found nowhere else. Life goes on and there is singing and dancing as usual, and I am sure that people laugh more often here than anywhere else in the world. But, above all, they are proud of their continent. They have reason to be, because there is no other place on earth that is as wild, extensive and embodies as much drama and romance as Africa.
An face to face African adventure will lead to a growing awareness that Africa’s wealth and beauty are precisely what gives it its authenticity and that the value of that genuineness can never be over estimated.
