Without giving away my age, let’s just say… Once upon a time, I had the pleasure of having a friend introduce me to a lovely Australian woman who would eventually become a very important person in my life…
She was the one to give me my first opportunity at taking on this industry I knew nothing of, but have come to love… Being a local Capetonian girl, fresh out of college, I have to be honest and state that I had never paid much thought to what lay just beyond the SA borders…
BUT, I was ready for the challenge in my first tourism job!!! And what a rewarding challenge it has turned out to be…
Being fortunate enough to travel a little bit, to get a small taste of what’s out there… including a tiny bit of Europe and some of “what lay just beyond the SA borders”… I have to maintain a biased opinion… I LOVE THIS PLACE THAT IS MY HOME, AFRICA!!!
Overlanding is definitely an experience like no other and by far the best or only way to experience the African beauty! My life in Overlanding has been 90% office and “behind the scenes” but no less exciting than being on the road… And 10% may seem like a little, but it has included the BIG 5, hiking Dune 45 at sunrise, quad biking, sandboarding, skydiving at 10000ft, bungee jumping Vic Falls, walking with Lions, feeding elephants… endless adventures to name but a few!!!
A proud member of the ACACIA AFRICA team, still behind the scenes, I urge you to check out our website www.acacia-africa.com to whet your appetite to what we have to offer!! Pinky swear that there’s sure to be something that gets your attention… and I never break a pinky swear 🙂
Like my friend and the lovely Australian woman who did it for me… let Acacia Africa give you your first opportunity to take on Africa…
