Acacia will be leading our first MTN Bushfire festival tour to Swaziland from the 31st May to 2nd June 2013 and we are delighted to share this magical tour with you.

Each year a multi-generational global community of up to 20,000 “bring their fire” to the scenic Malkerns Valley’s “House on Fire” to experience an eclectic Pan-African and international line-up of live music, theatre, poetry, film, circus, dance and visual arts. A vibrant handcraft market, family-friendly performances & Kid Zone as well as the recently introduced interactive art and dialogue space, The Barn, combine to create a magically eclectic three day entertainment experience.

Our Itinerary in a nutshell:

Day 1: Johannesburg to Ezulwini Valley, Swaziland

Departing from Johannesburg, we travel across Swaziland’s Oshoek Border Post, stopping en-route for lunch, then we head toward “House on Fire”, an inspired venue set against a breath-taking landscape in the heart of Swaziland’s Ezulwini Valley. This fantasy environment is as unexpected as it is moving. The official campsite is set up on Mandalela’s Farm, within 2 minutes walking distance of the festival arena – once we have settled into our campsite we sit down to a scrumptious dinner prepared by the Rush crew after which the evening is yours to enjoy the festivities of the MTN Bushfire.
Day 2: MTN Bushfire Festival

After waking up to the most amazing scenery, breakfast is served by your Rush crew after which we head back to the “House on Fire”. A walk through this enchanting space is a must for every traveller in the Southern African region. At its core is a sunken “Afro – Shakespearian Globe Theatre”, statues, colourful revelations, soap stone relief and a quirky sense of humour. Contributing to the multinational ambience of the festival is the Food Fair which offers a wide abundance of unique world cuisines to suit all tastes. Dinner will be served at the campsite by the Rush crew and the evening is yours to celebrate Swaziland’s Bushfire in all its splendour.
Day 3: Swaziland to Johannesburg (Distance travelled +-380km)

After a tasty breakfast prepared by the Rush crew, we have until lunch time to enjoy the final day of the festival after which head back to Johannesburg on the Rush bus, stopping off en-route for your refreshments purchases.
