Mozambique is untamed Africa at its best, and knowing that our fans love to get off the beaten track, it’s bound to be a popular tour for us in 2014.  There’s nothing better than travel without all the tourist trimmings, and if you want to feel like one of the first explorers, the time to go is now.  Join us on our new 14-day overland expeditions as we’d love to share one of Africa’s hidden jewels with you.

– Mozambique, otherwise known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean, boasts 1,550 miles of pristine beachfront on the mainland –  its numerous tropical islands covered in sun kissed white sand. A hot spot for those who want to take it slow, think swaying coconut palms, warm turquoise waters and unspoilt coral reefs.
– As a country that comes complete with some of the most pristine dive sites in the world, scubas and snorkelers should be prepared to be astounded. The reefs of the Bazaruto Archipelago form part of the largest marine reserve in the Indian Ocean, the crystal clear waters home to over 1,200 species of marine creatures including the rare Dugong. Time it right (November to April) and you might well spot the migrating humpback whales!
– Mozambique has remained an exclusive destination, as many of its islands and mainland beaches are isolated and secluded. Your chance to hit the escapism button, forget your typical resorts and add on golf courses, or shopping malls dotted along the coast, as you’ll find only unspoiled natural beauty.
– Being less well developed than most other countries on the southern region of the continent, Mozambique’s small towns and friendly people make it less touristy and ripe for adventurers who want to get here before the crowds.  Sail off on a dhow and sample the local seafood served under the shade of the palm trees

– An all year round sun, sea and sand destination, with a warm temperate climate, Mozambique is easily accessible from Johannesburg, and as we’re operating both north  and south  Mozambique 14 day overland expeditions, you have the choice to start in South Africa’s City of Gold or at the Victoria Falls
