The MyCiti bus services links to many of Cape Town’s ‘hot destinations’ including The V & A Waterfront, Cape Town International Airport, Century City, Hout Bay and local beach areas. It’s used by locals and visitors alike to get from A to B, and it’s an extremely cost effective way to travel within and outside the city on a budget. To top it off you can forget about all those extra taxi charges.
Just recently it was announced that the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has partnered with the City of Cape Town to operate the MyCiTi service! This exciting new route not only reduces the traffic and parking congestion, it’s easily accessiable to get to from the city and surrounding areas and it will link at the top of the Kloof Neck Road to the Cableway’s lower station! No more taxi’s or bumper to bumper traffic!
The shuttle will operate daily from 07h00 in season and from 07h30 in winter with the last shuttle departing the lower cable station at 19h00. Fares on the cableway shuttle cost R6:30 for those with the ‘Mover’ travel package (mainly long term stayers – card valid for 3 years) or R8. 90 for standard fares (general leisure use) during peak-hour trips. Peak hours are from 06h30 to 08h30 and between 16h00 and 18h00 on weekdays. The off-peak Mover fares are R4:80 and standard fares are R6.80.
