Zimbabwe has secured third place on Lonely Planet’s top 10 list of the Best Countries To Visit In 2019. Aside from being one of Africa’s safest destinations, its “ultra-friendly locals, Big Five-filled national parks, World Heritage-listed archaeological ruins, forested mountains and, of course, the mighty Victoria Falls,” were rated highly by the guidebook publisher.
With record numbers of travellers already visiting the Victoria Falls back in May, next year Zimbabwe is poised to break even more records, our tours visiting the Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park (the Big Five haunt said to rival the Kruger), and Bulawayo, the gateway to Matobo National Park (home to the Matobo Hills rock formations and Stone Age cave art), where you can enjoy heart-pumping rhino walking safaris.
Book one of our Camping Overland or Accommodated Overland Tours, Small Group Safaris or head out on our 5-day Hwange & Victoria Falls, a new addition to our Short Safaris & Treks collection, the itinerary focusing solely on Zimbabwe. The tour includes game drives in Hwange National Park, guided visits to the Painted Dog Project and the Victoria Falls and a Zambezi Sunset Cruise. Daily departures available from 02 January 2019.
You can also enjoy a taster of Zimbabwe and the Acacia Africa experience online, by following Mik & Valerie, the bloggers behind SuitcaseStories. The couple will be visiting Zimbabwe on our 40-day Southern African Adventure, their camping overland tour departing this Saturday the 03rd of November.
