Walk This Way
The benefits of exploring by foot far outweigh the effort. If you’re not an avid hiker, that’s okay. Acacia on-foot excursions are more fun than strenuous (unless you up the speed, trail runners out there?) There is a level of respectful conservation to these walks, especially at Khama Rhino Sanctuary, guided by rangers in Botswana.

Trek with Gorillas before it’s too late
Adventure awaits deep in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. There lives 19 families of endangered Mountain Gorilla’s. Every traveller that embarks on this enchanting experience is directly contributing to the conservation of these mammals.

Get your steps in, summit Dune 45
There is no doubt why this adventure is an iconic fan favourite. The images captured are breath-taking. Dune 45 is a bit of a feat to climb, especially as Acacia aim to summit for the early morning sun. Once you’re up though, the views expand the red dessert and the highest dunes in the world. All taking place within the Namib-Nauklift area of Namibia.

Moving on swiftly… a Mokoro is in essence a canoe but with a local African twist. On Acacia tours:
- Transit by mokoro on our Okavango Delta Excursion – cruise through the intricate inland delta channels in Botswana.
- Lay witness to the Lake of Stars (Lake Malawi, where our comedians below are pictured) with the many lined up fishing mokoro’s – local way of life.
