Accommodation in both Southern and East Africa varies from place to place, dependent on the infrastructure and settlement in different areas. Some destinations visited have high-quality accommodation options complete with fluffy duvets and en-suite bathrooms where at other places it may be more basic with shared facilities. Solo travellers get matched up with same-gender travellers in the same style as on our camping tours, so there's no need to worry about additional supplements once you've booked your tour.
There are of course some places where we are out in wild and natural surroundings and there simply isn't any built accommodation. We've included your tent, mattress and sleeping bag at these destinations so you'll still have a comfortable stay, and get to enjoy the essence of what makes Africa so special.
Our adventure accommodated tours are participation safaris, which means you help out with the daily chores - you and your fellow adventure travellers will be divided into teams to help with cooking and cleaning duties on a rota system. This is great to help you get to know your fellow travellers!
We've selected the best accommodation option at each of our overnight stops - take a look at our gallery to see the different styles along the way.
