Small Group Safaris

Open age, from 8 years and up
With a maximum group size of between 8 and 12 passengers, you benefit from the small group experience. Travelling this way enables us to get to more remote and secluded areas while still enjoying Africa's best-loved destinations. It also allows us to get more involved with the local culture without imposing on their daily lives. If you are after a small group with an open age, then one of the tours in this section is for you!

Acacia's Small Group Safaris are ideal if you're looking for a adventure holiday but don't necessarily want to camp. Our exciting tours range from 3 days to 14 days in length and cover the best of Southern and East Africa.

Small Group Safaris are family friendly with a minimum age of 8 years and no upper age limit.

Accommodation on small group safaris is mostly in tourist class lodges along the way, though we do offer some camping options too. Where there is accommodation, this is a mix of comfortable mid-range lodges, tented camps, bungalows and chalets.

Some of our tours have the option for single occupancy, while others will require solo traveller's of the same gender to share.

Small group safaris travel in minivan's, Toyota Coaster's, Ford Transits, Land Cruisers and similar types of vehicles and make use of local operators for game driving activities at select National Parks and reserves. Vehicles are not air-conditioned.
