"Just come back from my amazing 34 day Zanzibar to Cape Town trip. It flew past - I had such a good time. Sam and Julius, my trip leader and driver, were awesome, really helpful and funny and had lots of interesting stories to tell. Had a great group too and have so many fantastic memories. Really want to go back and I've only been home a day. If you are hesitating about booking - just go for it! I loved every second! Acacia are a really good company, our Acacia vehicle seemed so much nicer than some others who didn't even have lockers inside the truck. Camping on your small group adventure tour offers the opportunity to get out under canvas in the African wilderness. We supply canvas dome tents with a metal framework, sewn in groundsheet and mosquito netting on the windows and doors. A fly-sheet is provided for rainy days and we provide a mattress too! All you need bring is your own sleeping bag, soft-sided luggage and your sense of adventure.

Staying in tents means you'll save cash otherwise spent on accommodation, so you can budget to enjoy the activities, shop for souvenirs and enjoy a sundowner at the bars along the way instead.

Participation camping means you help out with the daily chores - you and your tent-buddy put your own tent up and down, and you'll be divided into teams to help with cooking and cleaning duties on a rota system. This is great to help you get to know your fellow travellers!
