Day 1. Pretoria, South Africa to Hazyview Highlights. Blyde River Canyon, South Africa.

Departing from Pretoria (the administrative city) early this morning our journey takes us from the urban areas, through the scenic Mpumulanga Province. We travel via the Blyde River Canyon and its distinctive Three Rondavels and panoramic views to our first night's accommodation - a short distance from the world famous Kruger National Park.

Day 2. Kruger National Park Highlights. Kruger National Park, South Africa.

To make the most of the day, we have in this world famous park, our specialised guide meets us a open 4x4 game drive vehicle (before dawn) in order to enter the park when the gates open.

The park, founded in 1898 is South Africa's flagship park and we will see some of the many species of flora and fauna in our days drive.

Day 3. Hazyview to Polokwane Highlights. Bakone Malapa Open Air Cultural Museum .

From the province of Mpumulanga and onto the province of Limpopo today. The province gets its name from the Limpopo river which forms the northern border of South Africa.

Arriving in Polokwane, we head off to learn more about the local Bakone culture at the open-air museum.

Day 4. Polokwane to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

Crossing the Limpopo River at the Beitbridge border post, we enter Zimbabwe.

With a fair distance to cover today, we push on through the scenic countryside to Bulawayo and our comfortable hotel.

To allow for the number of highlights & experiences included in this tour, some long distances need to be travelled. In order for this to not affect every day on tour, we have allocated this as a driving day in which we cover quite a lot of ground and have minimal stops.

Day 5. Matobo National Park Highlights. Matobo National Park, Zimbabwe.

Transferring into an open 4x4 game drive vehicle with a specialised guide this morning, we venture into the Matobo National Park which features distinctive wind-rounded rock formations.

There will also be an opportunity to take a walking safari in this intriguing park - provided conditions are optimal and it is safe to do so.

It is possible to optionally extend the drive to a full-day - including a historical and village tour.

Day 6. Bulawayo to Victoria Falls Highlights. Simunye - The Spirit of Africa Theatre Show.

Journeying north, we reach the town of Victoria Falls and settle into our comfortable hotel.

We head out for dinner at Dusty Road, a traditional Zimbabwean restaurant in Chinotimba township, featuring open-fire cooking and strong community support.

Afterwards, enjoy Simunye – The Spirit of Africa, a locally written and performed theatre show celebrating regional culture through music, story and costume, while supporting local talent and livelihoods.

Day 7. Victoria Falls Highlights. Victoria Falls National Park.

Rising early we visit the Victoria Falls, taking in a multitude of different views of the water plunging over 100 metres into the gorge below.

Arrangements end after this, however it would be a shame to come to this amazing area and not take part in some of the many different activities that are on offer, so maybe extend your stay for a few days to allow time enough for all of it.

Our team on the ground will be able to assist in arranging a variety of different activities.
